Course Overview
This course covers all aspects of VISI Modeling, including 2D wireframe, 3D wireframe, solid, and surfacing modeling. Students will learn how to create solid and surface models from scratch and also learn how to work with preexisting CAD data recieved from other disparate CAD systems. Subjects covered include:
- 2D and 3D wireframe CAD generation
- Basic and advanced 3D solid modeling
- Basic and advanced 3D surface modeling
- IGES file repair and other techniques used in closing preexisting surface-based files from other CAD systems into native VISI solid models
- 2D plot view generation
The class is the basic training for all users of all VISI configurations.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this class. Students, however, should have a basic understanding of engineering design, engineering drawing, and engineering methods.
