Course Overview
This course sequence covers all aspects of 2D and 3D machining. The first day presents the user interface, 2D CAD techniques for machining, and post-processing. The second day includes all aspects of 2D machining including profiles, pockets, slots, and drills. The third day teaches the student all functionality of 3D multi-surface machining for mold makers, die makers, and production NC programmers.
Prerequisites
- Students must have previously taken the VISI Modeling class
- 20 hours of experience working with the VISI Modeling system
- Possess a working knowledge of CNC milling machings and NC programming
