- It's a class A part - no wrinkles allowed,
- The press allowed for only a 4 1/2 station. (blank - form - pierce - pinch trim the nose - and cut-off).
- Draw beads were needed to eliminate the wrinkles,
- With the part escaping binder and beads - and no room to re-trim - the blank had to be dead-on accurate,
- But, our client knew the design would work - before he cut steel - because we ran a Dynaform die simulation analysis ahead of time to prove it.
