This course covers material to the VISI-Series relating to the upgrades in the new Version 17 Release.
The classes will be two half day sessions - VISI-Modeling and VISI-Progress will be covered in the AM and VISI-Mold and VISI-Machining in the PM.
These classes will be offered on a road show forum sometime within the first 60 days after a new version release. Thereafter, they will be offered via WEBEX so long as interest continues.
The specific subjects that are covered in the V17 release include:
- The updates to VISI-Flange include the ability to do a partial sheetmetal (flange) unfolding to a curved binder.
- VISI-Mold now includes a plastic part thickness calculator which yields a colored plot.
- Mold runner developer has been re-written to integrate with VISI-Flow.
- The Cadenas catalogue library has been added to greatly simplify the design of gages and fixtures. It includes clamps, Go-NoGo pins, etc.
- How the new workplane manager works.
- How the new print routine works.
- How the new plotview importer works (how to collaboratively split a single detailing job among several detailers).
- How the new cup sequence developer works (the end form doesn't have to be a cup anymore).
- How the new toolpath linking works in machining.
- Incremental stock is now available in machining. (After each tool path step you can ask for a resultant stock model - including cusps - for use in specifying subsequent tool paths.)
- Twenty more smaller things in machining.
