Course Overview

This course covers all aspects of VISI-Modeling including 2D and 3D wireframe, solid, and surfacing modeling. Students will learn how to create solid and surface models from scratch and also learn how to work with pre-existing CAD data received from other disparate CAD systems. Subjects covered include:

• 2D and 3D wireframe CAD generation,
• Basic and advanced 3D solid modeling
• Basic and advanced 3D surface modeling.
• IGES file repair and other techniques used in closing pre-existing surface-based files from other CAD systems into native VISI-Series solid models.
• VISI's Assembly Manager (for bill of material maintenance).
• 2D Plot View Generation.

The class is the basic training for all users of all VISI-Series configurations.

This is a hands-on class.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this class, however students should have a basic understanding of engineering design, engineering drawing, and engineering methods.
