PAS-CMM Overview

PAS-CMM automates the process of preparing inspection programs for CMM’s (computerized measurement machines). Engineenherently present in a part’s 3D and 2D CAD data are automatically read and interpreted into appropriate DMIS inspection and/or machine language program commands.

The generated DMIS language program can then be stored to disk for later use, or immediately transferred to a CMM machine controller to inspect the part.

PAS-CMM can be used efficiently by novice programmers as they significantly reduce programming time from 50% to 90% compared with conventional CMM programming in machine and DMIS type languages.

In summary, PAS-CMM replaces classic CMM programming systems with a new highly-productive highly-intelligent off-line easy-to-use system with a high-level CAM-type user interface for the creation of low-level CMM machine and DMIS code.

Expect dramatic productivity increases in the range of 500% to 1,000% when programming with the PAS-CMM System.
