Transmagic Translates All
Transmagic is the last CAD file translator you will ever need. This is because Transmagic reads files from all CAD systems and writes to virtually all as well. But it doesn't stop with translations - it also ...
- Is a stand-alone viewer for virtually CAD systems.
- Allows redlining, dimensioning, & cross-sectioning
- Performs part volume & mass property calculations
- Repairs CAD files with modeling tolerance errors,
- Performs heavy CAD file repair by re-intersecting surfaces, and
- Can now replace missing surfaces (see below).
System configurations include
- TransMagic I-STEP - This initial suite configuration provides a foundation set of translation functions to and from IGES and STEP together with the file repair facilities. Use it to keep the cost low when translating to and from single platforms like CATIA, Unigraphics, and Pro/E. STL output is also included in this configuration.
- TransMagic BASIC - This suite expands the Initial-Step suite to include Parasolid and ACIS systems. Use it to translate to and from VISI-Series, Solidworks, Solid EDGE, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Cadkey, and more. Also, the HSF file format is supported here.
- TransMagic STANDARD is perfect for the toolmaker who has to be ready to read most every CAD file. Expanding on Transmagic BASIC, it integrates translators for CATIA V4, Solidworks, Inventor, Unigraphics, and Pro/E.
- TransMagic PLUS is the ultimate suite. It includes all the above and adds read and write capabilities for CATIA V5. What's more, the V5 translation algorithms come directly from Dassault Systemes so you know all your translations will be letter perfect and up to date.
Transmagic means you can live in a world of CATIA V4 or V5, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, Solidworks, Solid EDGE, Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, or more - and do it with only ONE CAD system - your own - together with Transmagic.
Version 2007 Is Now Available with MagicSurfaces
The most significant enhancement included in Release 2007 (aka R7) is Magic Surfaces. This feature allows users to fix an IGES file with missing surfaces. The system can generate a patch that is defined by a closed edge perimeter where each of multiple edge segments are attached to adjoining surfaces either tangentially or with a "least-tension" relationship.
