VISI-Machining 3D makes quick work of electrode and core and cavity work. High-speed machining features ensure tools stay engaged at all times and that all roughing toolpaths include radii so the CNC machine doesn't have to slow down in the corners. Finish toolpaths are more powerful too. With programming tools like angular control and single-surface machining, you're assured inserts leave your CNC to your bench ready for 200-grit emery. All the VISI-Series modules are fully integrated - that means jobs flow from design to manufacturing faster, more accurately, and at a lower cost because there's no need for translations. VISI-Machining toolpaths are better. For example, rest milling is good - but re-machining is better! Rest milling allows you to develop a tool path using a smaller ball-nosed tool to machine areas previously missed by a larger ball-nosed tool. VISI-Machining does this. But, with the Re-Machining feature, tools can be ball-nosed, bull-nosed, or end mills - and what's more, you can specify the tool path to avoid areas cut by multiple previous tools - an extremely valuable tool when you might prefer to use a sequence of 3 tools or when used with angular surface control. (The variation of this capability involving end mills is often referred to as Re-Roughing.) When used with VISI-Mold and VISI-Progress configurations, VISI-Machining requires no translations, And its close integration also includes 2D machining and the feature-based machining of MFR |
