Course Overview

This course covers unfolding drawn sheetmetal material to a blank and understanding the analysis plots and the Forming Limit Diagram. This class is intended for new users of Fastblank and Fastform, and will be taught using the latest version of Fastblank and Fastform.

This course also covers Blanknest's technology for the nesting of sheetmetal parts. Solutions consider one or two blanks, coil stock width, trim stock, and limiting rotation for grain - all with the goal of minimizing material scrap.

Prerequisite

Students must have a previous working knowledge of metal forming technology.
