Dynaform Fundamentals (2-day) - $995

Course Overview

This course covers the Dynaform-PC pre-processor and CAD-editor, post-processor, LS-DYNA shell-mesh solver, drawn-part unfolding functions. Case studies cover techniques for developing die run-off surfaces, defining die kinematics, and developing .avi output graphics. Solutions will consider solutions for line dies and progressive dies using incremental analysis methods.

Prerequisite

Students must have a previous working knowledge of metal forming technology.

VPG - Virtual Proving Ground (1-day) - $495

Course Overview

This course covers the basics of 3D tetrahedral meshing, the expanded 3D LS-DYNA solver, the VPG Pre- and Post-processor, and the VPG Structure module. Particular emphasis is placed on how to map part thickness and prestress data forward from previously run Dynaform analyses.
